It is my great pleasure to be a part of our Copper Ridge Kindergarten team! This will be my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at Copper Ridge. I am looking forward to a fun and adventurous year together with my students. I am excited to teach my students how to read, write, count, get along with others and explore the world around them! I strive to make learning fun and engaging and instill a love of learning in each of my students throughout this year.
I grew up in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. I went to Arizona State University for my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Development. I then had the opportunity to focus on my family and travel the world with my husband who was in the Air Force. I received my Master’s in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I have taught Kindergarten in Japan at a DoD school, Oklahoma and now here in Arizona.
When I am away from school I enjoy the beautiful outdoors with my loving husband Mike and our youngest son Ethan. We also have 2 older children, Michaela and Gabe. Michaela is a NICU nurse in Joplin, Missouri and Gabe is going to be a pilot in the Air Force. I love home projects, walking, biking and reading in my free time.
I am looking forward to helping your child succeed and love school at Copper Ridge! It is my goal to foster a nurturing environment where your child can grow into a confident, caring, and respectful individual. I look forward to working with all of you to help your child learn and grow throughout this year!
