Apryl Bunting

Hello! My name is Apryl Bunting, and I am going on my 5th year teaching music at Copper Ridge Elementary.  I previously taught middle school choir for 2 years, and continue to teach our joined choir groups at both Sycamore Elementary and Copper Ridge Elementary.  Being apart of a choir ensemble has been a passion on mine since I was in elementary school, and I feel that it is great outlet for children to express themselves artistically through singing.  They learn valuable musical attributes such as sight reading, pitch accuracy, and of course, performing as a group and building a family.
A little bit about myself, I grew up in Colorado Springs, and moved with my family to Tucson in 2001.  I graduated from The University of Arizona with my Bachelors Degree in Music Education with Vocal Emphasis. I love hiking, playing soccer, doing Zumba, sewing, and spending time with my family. I have two children, Luke, who was born on June 28th 2017, and Madera, who was born on February 14th, 2019.
As a teacher, it is my goal to create a positive learning environment for our students.  Music background is such a wonderful attribute to have and that’s why I make sure to teach at the appropriate level and pace for each individual student. Every child is a musician and it is my gaol to support and encourage their individual talents!
