I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, graduating from Cienega High School in 2010. I then attended the University of Arizona (Go Cats!) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language. Working with students from various walks of life and learning about new cultures is something I really enjoy.
I began teaching third grade at Sycamore Elementary and in 2016 I was able to be apart of the opening of Copper Ridge. I have taught third grade for five years now and I just love it! I am so fortunate to be able to work with such great staff members and be part of a wonderful Vail community.
When I am not teaching or planning exciting lessons I love to be active and spend time with my family. One of my favorite activities is going to yoga! I also enjoy dancing, reading and cooking. Traveling is another passion of mine. I have been to South Africa, Spain, Portugal, England, Denmark, Italy and France.
I am looking forward to teaching third grade for my sixth year. Creating a kind, caring environment to foster learning is my ultimate goal as an educator. I hope to inspire students to do their best through high levels of engagement and, of course, by having fun! In my classroom we will encourage each other, learn from mistakes and celebrate success. I am excited for all the learning to begin!
