Student Achievement Teacher/ ELP
Lori Spies

I am originally from Windsor, Connecticut. At the age of 8 my family and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2002. I have been married for 18 years and have two beautiful daughters.

This is my 19th year in education and 17th year working in Vail. I started my career in the Phoenix area in 2002 and in 2004 I made Vail my home. I spent my first 12 years in Vail at Sycamore Elementary teaching 5th grade, S.U.M.S, and our ELP program. When Copper Ridge opened its doors I was excited to be a part of it taking on the role of Student Achievement Teacher at Copper Ridge.

My goal as Student Achievement Teacher  is to be a support to students, teachers, and families at Copper Ridge. Working as an SAT allows me to collaborate with teachers to help guide the instructional practices that we value and make the best decisions instructionally to meet the needs of all our students. Through this role I am able to reach more children than I did previously and it has been very fulfilling. I am so happy to be a part of the Copper Ridge family.
