I am originally from San Diego, CA but grew up Tucson, AZ. I am a proud alumni of the Vail School District and always hoped I could return one day and be a teacher in this wonderful community.
I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Shortly after graduating, I got married and we had decided to stay in Flagstaff. Fortunately, I was able to find a job teaching third grade at a bilingual magnet school in town. After a year, we decided to move back to Vail and was offered the fourth-grade teaching position at Copper Ridge Elementary School. I am thrilled to be excited of this community and be able to meet the students and staff. Go Ringtails!
My husband and I enjoy playing board games especially Monopoly and love having friends over for game nights. Reading is one of my passions which is evident if you ever see our home library decked with all sorts of books. I enjoy watching classical epic films such as Ben-Hur, Braveheart, and occasionally a comedy. I have traveled to seven different countries and been on various long road trips in the U.S. and love to try out the local cuisine. This has blossomed into a love for cooking and I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes.
I have a passion for learning and want to share this with others. I strive to create a welcoming and inspiring environment where the next generation is able to become leaders and lifelong learners. “Teaching is being able to guide minds to think, hands to create, and for hearts to thrive.”
