I am an Arizona native, born in Tucson, Arizona. At the age of seven my parents moved our family to Vail. I attended Vail schools and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher someday.
I graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Go Cats! As the end of my college career drew near, I was placed at a Vail school to complete my student teaching. I was then fortunate enough to be offered a position teaching kindergarten. I taught kindergarten for four years and first grade for two years. In 2017, I made the move to Copper Ridge and began teaching fourth grade. I am happy to be a member of the Copper Ridge family and teaching fourth grade has become a passion of mine! At Copper Ridge, I sponsor the BeKind Club, run our monthly Caught in the Act Assemblies and serve on other committees at both CRE and at the district office.
I live in Vail with my husband and 2 year old son. I love spending time with my family and playing with my little one! Some of my favorite things to do are reading, traveling, talking our boxer Julia for walks and watching football on Sundays!
Teaching and seeing students learn and grow is my passion. I strive to create a positive learning environment where every child feels comfortable and develops the same love of learning that I did.
